Sesshomaru & You <The Unknown Demon> Part 39 (Father and the Cherry Blossom)

"What does this demon of illusion exactly do to the sleeping person?" Satsuki asks. Jaken rubs his chin replying, "Well I’ve heard it make you think dream that your dreaming." Rin hands Satsuki another biscuit. "Dream that I’m dreaming?" Satsuki inquires, taking another bit out of her biscuit. "Yes, like you actually asleep, but it feels like its real, and in the illusion you dream that you are dreaming." Just then, several maid walk into the room, with platters of bacon, sausages, toast, pancakes, ham, and eggs. Rin and Jaken quickly dove into the platters of food, as Satsuki ponders, ‘So everything that’s been happening for the past few weeks, have been nothing but a illusion created by a demon that possessed me?’ Rin smacks Jaken in the face trying to get to the bacon. "Jaken?" Jaken look at Satsuki, with his plate covered in food. "How long was I asleep?" She asks. "Lets see... For 3 weeks."

"3 Weeks?! Are you freaking serious?!" Satsuki shouts, as Sesshomaru walks into the room and promptly sit down beside Rin. Satsuki, slumps back into her chair, blushing, Avoid all eye contact with the man she had such intoxicating dreams of. Not more then a few minutes later, Sesshomaru finished eating and walked out of the room, with Jaken trailing behind him. Satsuki took a deep sigh of relief, thinking to herself. 'Perhaps I should leave. I think this is getting to intense for me.' She looked around the room at all the gold and silver trimmed tapestries incrusted with every kind of jewel. 'A princess I may be, but that time has long passed. My place is on the battle field, not sitting around on my ass in a castle.'

Satsuki made her way up to her room and pack her things quickly until.... Boom!! "Satsuki-chan, will you come play with me?" In comes Rin, without any warning. Satsuki drops her things and kicks them under the bed in a panic, hoping Rin will not have noticed what she was doing. "Ooh Rin. Of course I'll play with you, but just for a bit, okay?" Rin grabs her by the hand and drags her out of the room. Rin pulls Satsuki threw corridors and around corners and eventually they come to a large door. Satsuki helps Rin push it open. After opening it, Satsuki looks up and see a large garden filled with hundreds of flowers. Rin lets go of her hand, and runs through the large field of flowers as if she had no care in the world. Satsuki looks around, amazed at all the different type of flowers. 'Look, those are Tsubaki.'

She walks over to a blooming flower, with shiny green leaves, that look as if it had been light kissed with a pinkness. As she moved closer, she could see a slight drop of water caressing one of the petals. Next to her were her mothers favorite flowers, Tsutsuji. They are so breath taking. Starting white at the tips and turns to a light rose petals, with the middle this extravagant magenta. It reminds her of life, so beautiful, yet frail. Beside her stood a memory from her childhood. As the wind blowed around her, Satsuki looked up and saw her father in a Sakura tree. "Its a Cherry blossom." She picked a white flower from the tree and smiled. She smelled it and closed her eyes, imagening the days when she was younger.

"Father! Father! Your finally home!" Satsuki jumped into her fathers arms as he entered her bedroom. Back from one of his long battles of war. "And look what I brought home for my special girl." He smiled and slipped a cherry blossom from inside his armor. "Ooh, what’s this father?" She asked with curiosity. "This is a cherry blossom. You see, there are many cherry blossoms, most are imperfect and die before they fully bloom, but the ones that do bloom are perfect, and only happen when someone is in love." He said as he slid the flower into her hair. Satsuki looked at the flower in the mirror in awe. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. "I love you so much my darling little girl. My hopes are you will grow up to be as beautiful and perfect as that flower."

'To grow to be as perfect and beautiful as a flower after all the pain and suffering I've been threw? All the lives lost in pointless wars. His little girl is no longer little, and as my blade has sharpened and spilled the blood of many, I an nowhere near perfect, and will never be. I'm sorry father, but your hopes for me is nothing but a fleeting dream that will never be realized... I'm sorry.' A tear slowly slides down her pale cheek, as she crushes the flower in her fist. Satsuki opens her hand and eyes, looking down at the torn flower. The tear that was once on her cheek, falls onto the flower, and it drops to the ground. 'Perhaps to be with Sesshomaru, is a fleeting dream as well. Like a city of dreams flickering in a world of destruction.'
